I transplanted the lettuce into their planters today!  There are five seedlings in each bucket, and I put the extra in the pop bottle planter that formerly belonged to the sunflowers.  I’m hoping that the plants were strong enough to survive the transplant, since I had some trouble getting them out of the fiber pots. Here we are on the 20th day of the lettuce!  They’re starting to look more lettucey by the day, and soon they’ll be big enough to transplant into pots.  I’m a little concerned that they’re rather leggy; long and spindly from reaching toward the light.
