Gordon Ramsay (Sketch)

A sketch of Gordon Ramsay.  He has a wonderful face that’s carved, handsome, wrinkly, and doughy at the same time.

From time to time, I’d catch a few minutes of Kitchen Nightmares on TV during my breaks at Target.  People yelling at each other is always entertaining on some base level, so when I discovered 31 episodes of the show are on Hulu, I began playing it as my background show while I worked on art.

Now, I’d never seen the opening to Kitchen Nightmares until a few days ago, but it’s probably one of the most epic things I’ve ever seen.  If you have a few moments, go load up an episode and after the episode preview, you’ll see what I mean.

Once the preview is over, the opening begins on a pair of stainless steel kitchen doors, which EXPLODE in a flurry of pots, pans, kitchen tools, and knives.  Knives start flying through the air at Gordon Ramsay, who is standing against a bullseye.

The knives embed themselves all around Ramsay, who looks completely nonplussed and then catches a knife midair, sharpens it, and flings it into the camera, shattering everything.

Did I mention this is all against Misirlou?

Epic.
