While I’m working on a proper con report for AnimePunch, I can now finally share the badge art I did for the convention this year.  The first of these is Buster Machine.

Now, I haven’t seen Gunbuster or Diebuster, but this is Penny as Buster Machine No. 7, Nono.  The tragic part of this particular badge is that none of the pre-registrants picked this design, so up until now the only people who have seen it were myself and Michael, AP’s con chair.

Since it’s faster and easier than my usual lineless, soft coloring, I did cel shading on these with inked lines.  I sketched everything in pencil, then used Inkscape to do the lineart with my tablet.  The lineart was then coverted to PDF and imported into Photoshop for coloring.
