Sharpie Drawings

Draw your face for a dollar?

I started selling these at my first Artist Alley table at the first AnimePunch in 2006.  Back then, they started out as “Quick Sharpie Portraits” on half-sheets of letter-sized copy paper, but for Ohayocon 2007 I got some index cards instead.  Since then, they’re sort of become my ‘thing,’ and many people recognize me from conventions throughout the year.  Some even make it a tradition to get a drawing from me at every con they find me!

Over the summer, I started selling these in my Etsy store.  These are some of spoils!  Initially I’d mail the index card to the buyer, but lately I decided to save on the postage and fees and deliver them digitally, so now the buyer will get a high-resolution scan of their drawing.

Occasionally, drawings I’ve done at cons also crop up on the internet.  Below is a photo the recipient took of her Sharpie drawing, which later got to me through Facebook.
